Full moon on February 5th

It is a Korean holiday celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month, and it is a day to pray to the goddess for the fertility of the earth when the first full moon rises.

On Full Moon Day/Daeboreum Day/, people eat medicinal rice, rice with five grains, seasoned vegetables, seasonings with seasoned vegetables, and rice wine as a ritual to wish for good fortune.


what is medicinal rice? 약밥

flavored glutinous rice mixed with honey, dates, chestnuts, etc.


what is rice with five grains? 오곡밥

Rice cooked with glutinous rice and kneaded eggplant grains of millet, glutinous millet, black beans, and red beans
